Privilege 485 Catamaran Yacht for sale

Privilege 485 at anchor

Here is a great opportunity to change your lifestyle or upgrade from your current cruising yacht.
The first Privilege catamaran was designed by Philippe Jeantot, winner of the Vendee Globe round the world race, to cruise with his family in safety, comfort and stability. He went on to found Jeantot Marine later taken over by Alliaura Marine in 1996.
In 1995 and 1996 Privileges were chosen as boat of the year in the USA.
We can consider these older models the prototypes, they are very strongly built with the highest quality materials, that is why the keep their value so well.
This one, built in 1992 was designed as a luxury charter yacht, but was later adapted for cruising in ultimate comfort.
The owner before the current one was a very big guy (professional sportsman) so the starboard aft cabin has a larger bed (I didn't measure it but you could call it king size) and the salon is improved from the original design.

The current owner retired from his fiberglass fishing boat building yard and bought the yacht with the tentative plan to use it for charters with his son as mate, and captain later. Both have now chosen a different occupation.
The yacht is simply for sale because it has not been used much in the past few years.

She has an extensive refit in 2013, 4 guest cabins, and I am awaiting up to date specs and pictures from the owner.
